This prestigious event will bring together researchers, academics, and professionals from around the world to discuss the latest developments in geographical research with a focus on Central Asia.

The conference will take place from July 15-18, 2025, at our main campus in Bishkek. It will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and poster presentations covering a wide range of topics, including:

  • Climate change impacts in Central Asian mountain ecosystems
  • Applications of remote sensing in regional environmental monitoring
  • Geospatial analysis of urban development in post-Soviet cities
  • Water resource management in arid and semi-arid regions
  • Cross-border geographical issues in Central Asia

"This conference represents a unique opportunity to showcase the geographical diversity and challenges of Central Asia to the international academic community," said Dr. Gulnara Ismailova, Chair of the Conference Organizing Committee. "We are excited to facilitate knowledge exchange and foster new collaborations between local and international researchers."

The call for papers is now open, with a submission deadline of May 30, 2025. Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Selected papers will be published in a special issue of the Central Asian Journal of Geography and Spatial Science.
